I've been here over two years now. It's a weird thing to notice.

Maybe I'm just getting used to this place. Scary thought. Maybe I'm just going crazy. I'm mad, you're mad, we're all mad style of thing. You don't have to be crazy to work here, but it helps.

Anyway, it's not here yet but winter's coming up. I don't know if anyone remembers Kitty, but she used to make cake for newborns. Which was pretty cool. And speaking of cool, the Hall of Beginning gets kinda arctic in the winter months. Which means we need warm clothes for newborns. And I was thinking if we could get volunteers to make hot drinks or something every day for the hall, and a heater to keep them warm, that'd be kinda nice for the poor new suckers who get stuck in this place.

That, and the greeters sure aren't gonna complain, believe me.

So, if anyone could donate a portable stove or something, and maybe a rotating volunteer cycle? Any warm drinks are going to go miles when the cold hits--coffee, tea, cider, hot cocoa, whatever.

I think it's a good idea--I don't have a stove, but I can bring in the stuff to put on it. Hot cider's just the thing to make saying hello to confused, goopy people a little less uncomfortable.

I suppose in Edensphere what you get used to is that there's no getting used to it.

Yeah, and god knows, the greeters are gonna need it as much as the newborns if it gets as cold as it did last winter. Blizzards are not my best look.

I don't quite notice it when I was hatched, but does the Hall of Beginnings not have temperature controls like in Section 4?

Not really. It's cool enough in the summer but winter's a [pentaps, kinda tired of these soap suds] pain in the butt.

Fortunately, we're switching to the warmer clothing sets starting late next week. Hot drinks sound nice- I wouldn't mind some cider during my shifts- but I'm not very good at [...] not burning milk.

I know one of my Guides brews hot tea for the newborns, but having options is a very good idea. I'll see if I can find something like a hot plate. That should be easy, right?

Yeah, Big L. A hot plate would be perfect. It'll be nice when the cold gets here.

Sure thing! Maybe we can have a schedule for the volunteers or something? So it's not always on one or two people.

I think we could find a hot cocoa or a coffee machine somewhere in the Wilderness or try making one ourselves instead of heating it up manually every time. That would get to be a pain. That way, all we'd have to do is replace the milk/water and the coffee beans/cocoa and the greeters wouldn't have to rely on other people to do it for them.

The Wilderness is some sort of festival right now, right? They might have that sort of thing there.

That would be a pretty rad idea MC. Bridge and I were gonna look for parts for an espresso machine in the Yard, but a cocoa machine would be good too.

Want to check the festival for something we can use? Then we can all reconvene with whatever spoils we find and figure it out from there.

No fair, nobody gave me warm clothes when I got here smack in the middle of November. I still can't quite believe I've been here almost a year, and here you've hit two. You overachiever you.
