It was a house in front of him. Sort of run down looking. Trees and rotting foliage-—he could smell the dirt and leaves, as he looked. In his memory he ran to the door. Dash couldn’t hear what made his memory stop and look behind him, but there was Code—his twin, reaching out to stop him, saying something as he touched the door handle…
Except there was a flash of lightning and the house and Code were gone. Instead he was standing on a jagged rock, the place reeked of fire and brimstone, sulfurous and choking. Around him were hunched figures, red, hideous things, lizardly scaled things, humanoid things with bat wings, and distorted creatures of all kinds.
Hell, definitely hell.
Smoke and fire rose around him, and he ran, looking around, noting the creatures and the landscape. Wraiths that reached out for him, sulfur, flames, demons.
No way out.
His memory stopped, and Dash felt his heart sink. He was in trouble. He was away from the demons and souls, he could out run them if they got close, but he couldn’t escape the place.
That was the point of hell, right? No way out. He kept looking anyway.
For a while.
Eventually he sat down where he’d arrived, or his memory did. A while later, another flash of light and thank god Code appeared. With some freaky old guy. Code approached him, and they spoke, he could see Code’s lips moving, but he couldn’t make out any words. Behind his brother the old guy started to glow. A flash of light—
The memory ended.
