Fourth Run - Boy Scout

((OOC: Fugue has asked Dash for a thorough assessment off the islands. So here we go. Each separate island will be it's own LJ cut to save you from wading through wall of text. Each pair of entries is spaced apart by a fair amoutn of time.))

Okay! So. First check-- Medical Island and the Marketplace according to this here map.

Medical Island

Pretty trashed. Giant branches have collapsed half the building but the other half actually looks stable and useable in a pinch.  Water damage is pretty extensive.

Marketplace

A whole lot of rubble. Buildings are a todd up--some are in pretty decent shape, others are rubble. Looks like there were stalls but not a one of them survived. Talked to some of the people stuck at work--there's a lot of debris and some of ti's sharp, what where you step.

Next up! Post office and Farmland.

Post office

Not crossing that bridge. No way, no how. Sorry. It might be safe? But I don't think so.

Farmland

Actually looks okay. A lot of branches littering the place but the essential equipment looks intact. Just going to need some picking up mainly.

Okay, next: Music Room and Race Track.

Music Room

Totally trashed. I can barely move around this place, the damage is pretty bad. Water damage, branched, the place is falling apart. Careful if you come here--the bridge was a little unsteady getting over and I would not trust entering the building unless you're like, Superman. Some of the walls have collapsed, and the roof looks about to give up the ghost.

Race Track

The track is trashed. The strands are splinters. Stables look okay though, but this place isn't going to be useable without a lot of help.

Park and State Aquarium

Park

Looks pretty unscathed. Some building here got a little damaged, but looks sound. Other than a lot of things blown over, it's fine.

State Aquarium

A little damage, not too bad. But why didnt' anyone warn me about the fuckign tentacle monster? It's BRIGHT PINK people, you could have warned me! It's not coming after me, so I'm good. Kind of assessing the damage from a distance because you cannot pay me enough to go down there.

Thanks a lot guys.

Moving on. Dojo, Hot Springs.

Dojo

Bridge from the Aquarium is trashed, but the bridge from the hot springs is fine. The dojo is a wreck people. No training to be kung fu masters here for a while, trust me. Tempted to make a joke about splinters and Splinter, but the fact that there is tentacle monster thing here is still killing my wit.
Hot Springs

Almost no damage. Looks pretty good here, some fallen branches and debris, that's it.

Houskeeping and Paper Factory

Housekeeping

Dunno how this one got pulled off but there's almost no damage here.

Paper Factory

Some water damage and medium branches, going to need some hauling and repair, but over all not bad.

Ikea (seriously?), Workshops and unnamed island

Ikea

Medium damage. I wouldn't take a lot of this furniture home unless you wanted some kindling or somethig. Some of it escaped though--a lot of water damage even to the intact stuff though.

Workshops

Trashed. Like. Gone. Having to crawl over giant branches and rubble just to get to the other side of the island.

Unnamed Island

Okay I feel really depressed. Nothing here to be trashed, but there's a lot of debris. Getting off this godforsaken rock now.

Final Stop: Crystal and other unnamed island

Crystala

Weird place. Gives me the creeps a little. Bridge getting here was kind of tereacherous, so watch yoru step. A lot of debris and broken crystals but... Yeah, that's about it. Place gives me the wiggins though. And I think something is watching me.

Going to call this next one Lighthouse Island

Lighthouse

Can't get across the bridge to check it out, but the lighthouse itself looks fine from here.

That concludes this awesome report brough by yours truly.

I think that was more like five, Boy Wonder.

Oh, hey, score. Clearly I should make with the esoteric conjugation more often.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
I think we both should. In public. Where everybody can watch us.

And marvel at us.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Now now, don't be jealous.

If you'd only made nice with the dictionary, like I'd originally said, you'd get to be marveled at too. And win extra points.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
That's quite an accusation, slick. You have proof to go along with all of your bluster? The court does not look kindly upon crying wolf. Nor the abuse of the english language.

We shall get to the bottom of this.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but the Boy Wonder has boyish charm too. It's inherent in the name "Boy Wonder". Though, admittedly, most boyish charms are simply wasted on me. Also. I'm not exactly sure how I feel letting the English language "take one for the team". That's kind of like asking space and time to buzz off for a few ours so that you can finish up on homework if you even know what that is

Well if I were to give away the golden goose so easily, it wouldn't be a challenge, then, would it? Sometimes you've got to sing for your supper.

I'm not the kind that gives free rides.

why am i not surprised?

[identity profile] unlostsoul.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa. Ran. How forward of you.

But I think people could put their time to much worse purposes than marvelling at us.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a girl of strong convictions, Want. And it just so happens on my long list of personal beliefs that vaguely exhibitionist esoteric conjugation ranks highly. Can you blame me?

See? Consider it a public service.

[identity profile] unlostsoul.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Deep down you really a noble, selfless soul, huh? Bringing proper grammar and word usage to the masses?

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
A champion for the everyman, yes! It's a thankless job, but somebody has to do it, Boy Wonder.

You up for the challenge?

[identity profile] unlostsoul.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
YEA

I mean: How could I not be in favor of such a thankless but noble endeavor? I am all about being noble and thankless.

[identity profile] nobodysheroine.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Should I get you a cape or perhaps a rocky outcrop for you to stand on? I'm pretty certain a wind machine would be overkill, but I'm sure we could scrounge some dramatic lighting.
