Act 2, Scene 46 - We will rock you

Hey Seven,

Wanna go out?

- Dash

[Edited in. Kind of squished to the side.]

HEY GAI. IS BELL A GENTLEMAN? Y/N?

But--we would use them against threats to the community, right? Like Crystala monsters?

I mean, if we had robotic laser dinosaurs in the first place.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-11 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. The community would always come first.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-12 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's good to hear. Um, have we been introduced? I remember your writing, but... Mona? Mona something? I'm sorry, that's a bit embarrassing, how I forgot all of a sudden.

I'm Kagerou, anyway.

I shall ascertain that my name is not so easily forgotten in the future. But fear not. My arrival is quite recent.

I am indeed Mona, Mona Lisa. It is a pleasure to meet you, Kagerou.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
You should blame my memory in this instance, I think. But I never forget a name twice, at least.

It is nice to meet you, too. Have you been to the bar? It's been a bit busy, so I may not have caught every new face, but.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
That is encouraging to hear.

I have been there once thus far. I am not a heavy drinker, but I do enjoy a glass of wine from time to time. Are you often there?

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I work there, so yes, I am. I don't really drink, either. But we do offer each newborn a free drink, if you haven't had that yet.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I was not aware of this. I will accept this drink with my thanks. Perhaps this Friday will do well, if we are not all turned into these sheep that wander about.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think anyone's turning into a sheep. They're just following us around.

Well, then I will most likely be the red-haired girl behind the bar. Please come say hello then?

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I meant to say that the ways of this place are at this time beyond my ability to predict them.

I shall, Kagerou.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know how good you are at predictions, but if you ever manage to master that, you'll be more clever than anyone I know here.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I know not either. I believe I am clever, but I do not know that I am that clever.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
On the other hand, you could be surprised to learn just what you can do. That happens to people a lot, too.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
So I have heard. I look forward to perhaps one day discovering more about my own capabilities.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I had some advice to offer that didn't consist of "Get in trouble and hope for the best." That was rather what happened to me.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Fear not. It is effective enough; I understand the concept. And I believe I shall take you up on that.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
If you have a getaway sorted out, I suppose it's one approach.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
It is most unwise not to have an escape route planned when one is attempting something risky.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
The problem with the Sphere really is that trouble doesn't generally come with a warning. So you'd have to be on constant lookout for escape routes. But I'm sure they'd be helpful if you went looking for trouble.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-13 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
If we are to assume, A), that being in the Sphere is danger, and that B) looking into the Sphere is more danger, and C), that one must seek to constantly have an escape from danger, as A leads to B and leads to C, we must always be aware and ready, seeking.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-15 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
You never really get used to it, just accustomed, I think.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-15 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
You grow accustomed to constant danger? I suppose one can, but then adrenaline would become less and less effective.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-17 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Or maybe you grow accustomed to the idea that you will always be in danger if you do a number of specific things. It's more that.

[identity profile] vile-queen.livejournal.com 2011-04-18 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
So it is not some nameless lingering doom. It is learned behavior.

[identity profile] weaver-girl.livejournal.com 2011-04-19 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, you learn to be careful. Doing otherwise is [pause] well, dangerous. Sometimes very much so. You haven't run across these things yet? Some questions you shouldn't ask?
