• Magical journal? Check.
• Shower has been had? Check.
• Actually not-goopy clothing that still doesn't really fit? Check.
• Waking up in the most insane excuse for a social study without any memories or, you know, clothes, and being told the low-down by some poor girl who looked like she was going to faint? Double check.
• Getting practically manhandled around to god knows where without anyone telling me what the hell this is about and ending up writing this next to an endless rack of lady's high heels? GO TIME.

But seriously, magical journal, what the heck is going on?

Uh, and if these things work the way I'm told they are supposed to-- Hello there my fellow lab rats. I guess welcome me to the maze? And, you know, direct me to the cheese and not the sparks.

I did, yes. It was not an experience I would choose to repeat any time soon.

You heard me. There are a lot of different worlds and cultures and I'm repeatedly told that wherever I'm from is completely baffling. So what is 'reality TV'?

About half a dozen Things With Teeth. We made it into the elevator just in time.

So we're talking like, multidimensional science experiment here? This just got weirder. How does this keep getting weirder? It should not be possible for this to get weirder.

Okay, so, reality TV is like when a bunch of "normal" people sign up to do a show of some theme or other and then they keep getting weeded out for one final surviving winner. Who gets a prize of some type that's supposed to make up for having sold their soul to the corporate powers. It's all pretty messed up, but funny as hell.

Frankly I don't want to know what happens if you get voted off the island here. They feed you to the dinos or what?

Sounds like a blast to me. I mean, you made it right? What's the problem? Probably makes a great story at parties.

That sounds like quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. People deliberately sign themselves on to be humiliated or something?

I prefer to not have to race for my life, given the choice. It puts a damper on any ability to have a conversation.

Yeah, it totally is, but it's funny. And it's something to watch when you're bored or have on in the background, y'know? They sign up because you get to be on TV so it's sort of like being famous, only with like, more humiliation and ridicule. Plus the chance to win! All at the cost of your soul and dignity but, I mean, who uses those?

Hah, well, the story telling is for after the death-defying right?

I guess it makes for a very interesting story, but at the same time it's nothing I would voluntarily do again.
